In the heart of Matera’s historical center, near Piazza Giovanni Pascoli, within a building from 1870, is situated Le Dimore dell’Acqua. Built on the backbone of the XVIII century city, this historic building assumes a strategic location and is the gateway to the Sassi. Its construction was ordered by a noble family of the era and was a significant ostentation of their wealth.
